This Full-Time, Exempt position is accountable for the development and implementation of an annual strategic plan that is designed to increase dollars and individual donors through the oversight of patron clubs, direct mail, internet fundraising and annual gala. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding annual donors.
• Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office 2007
• Ability to learn and become proficient with company software
• Organized, professional, well-groomed self-starter
• Written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent listening skills
• Ability to engage and build lasting relationships with diverse constituents
• Ability to communicate company mission
Job responsibilites include:
• Responsible for soliciting outright gifts from individuals
• Identify top donors/prospects for cultivation and future solicitations
• Analyze donor giving with the goal to increase retention, increase donor level of gifts and expand donor base
• Conceptualize, plan and implement new development initiatives for increasing annual giving donors
• Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for donors
• Conduct a minimum of 8 face- to-face visits a month with individuals with the goal to solidify relationships and gain financial support. Prepare written contact reports on each visit
• Prepare proposals as required for individual solicitations
• Working with appropriate personnel, develop stewardship program for annual donors
• Monitor annual giving club programs with the goal to increase membership
• Serve as the staff liaison for the Leading Ladies volunteer group
• Working with appropriate personnel, manage direct mail campaigns and timetables
• Oversee annual gala event
• Attend all patron program events
• Monitor expenses for areas of responsibilities
This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years in development or experience with transferable skills. College degree preferred. Reports to the Director of Development. Must be available to work during the company’s normal business hours of 9 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and nights and weekends as required.
