First Alumni Soiree

Theatre Under The Stars celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) with a kickoff event for the newly formed HSMT Alumni Association. Four decades of HSMT graduates and supporters gathered in the rehearsal studios to celebrate the achievements of both the school and its esteemed alumni while recalling treasured memories of the past.

After the soiree, attendees were treated to the HSMT’s Summer Conservatory production of Legally Blonde the Musical where they got a glimpse of the next generation of musical theatre stars.

“The evening was a tremendous success for both the HSMT Alumni Association and for the school,” said John Breckenridge, President and CEO of TUTS.  “To be able to reunite previous students while also showcasing the current students in their phenomenal summer production was a real delight.  What a way to celebrate 40 years of teaching musical theatre excellence and to help support future productions!”

Many attendees joined the Alumni Association and raised $3,375 for the HSMT Artistic Fund, which will help fund future HSMT productions and encourage growth in the disciplines of musical theatre.
