The River Performing and Visual Arts Center

 

Mission
The River, a program of TUTS Education, provides accessible, affordable, fine arts education for children, ages 2 -19, who have disabilities, chronic illnesses, or are economically disadvantaged. Siblings are welcome. The River offers year-round, barrier-free classes in music, art, drama and dance. Financial aid is available.

Programs Offered at The River

Saturday Mornings *
Weekly one-hour classes, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM during the school year.

Summer Camps (six weeks) *
One-week summer camp sessions, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM.

Classes in the Community
Hospitals, schools and social service organizations receive classes in fine arts.

One Day Musical Theatre Workshops *
Held each semester at our Bagby offices.

The River Performance Troupe
Students learn song and dance routines and perform at community events.

Volunteer Program
Feel a sense of accomplishment through helping others; services or credit hours are avaiable.

* A nurse is on staff for these River programs.
