SAS900 AFTER-SCHOOL STUDIO
Ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-14	Fall Schedule TBD

Ages 3-6  Favorite Broadway and Hollywood songs and rhyming dialogues teach the fun of singing, dancing, and acting. In addition to building musical repertoire, students develop confidence, foster language arts, increase physical coordination, promote cooperative ensemble attitudes and expand social skills in the rehearsal and performance process. At the end of their ten week session, students present an informal showcase.

Ages 7-14  Students develop basic musical theater performance skills by rehearsing an age appropriate, fast-track mini-salute to a Broadway or Hollywood musical. Learn songs, dances, and rhyming dialogue for repertoire development and to present an informal showcase at the end of the session. Workshops teach the basics in singing skills, dance steps and stage acting. In addition to building musical repertoire, students at all ages develop confidence, foster language arts, increase physical coordination, promote cooperative ensemble attitudes, and expand social skills in the rehearsal and performance process.

SVS900 VOCAL STUDIO
Ages 7-9, 10-12, 13-18	Fall Schedule TBD

Students work on basic singing skills in vocal projection, pitch, intonation, and diction with age-appropriate songs from classic and contemporary musical theatre. In addition to building musical repertoire, students at all ages develop confidence, foster language arts, increase physical coordination, promote cooperative ensemble attitudes and expand social skills in the study process.

SXD900 X-DANCE STUDIO
Ages 7-9, 10-12, 13-18	Fall Schedule TBD

Students are exposed to the structured, disciplined, technical world of theatrical dance as well as the unrestricted, free form world of street and social dance combined in ExtremeDance. The combination is performed to music drawn from pop, rock, hot films and musical theatre.

SAC900 ACTING STUDIO

Students work on basic acting techniques in voice, projection, diction, and character development using age-appropriate excerpts from musical theatre repertoire. Exercises include improvisation, dialects, monologues and scene study.

SDT910 DANCING WITH TUTS
Ages 16 & Up	Fall Schedule TBD

For adults who love the new dance shows on TV, come learn basic fun elements of popular social dancing, both partner and line choreography. Sessions cover Swing, Disco, Salsa and Country Western. Sign up with a partner or come on your own.

 

SAC910 ADULT ACTING STUDIO

Students work on basic acting techniques in voice, projection, diction, and character development and believability in a fast-track 5-week session. Exercises include improvisation, monologues, lyric and scene study, using age-appropriate excerpts from classic and contemporary musical theatre repertoire. For students with some previous experience in acting or stage presentation.

SAT910 ADULT TAP STUDIO
Ages 18 & up	Fall Schedule TBD

Students work on basic tap dance skills in a fast-track 5-week session. Learn introductory warm-ups, steps, and combinations, using repertoire from classic and contemporary musical theatre. For students with little or no previous experience in tap dance.

SSC900 SUMMER CAMPS

Weekly performing arts camps offer students from ages 4-18 the opportunity to learn, rehearse and showcase a musical. New material is selected each week. No audition is required and the showcase is presented to family and friends at the end of the session. Registration in advance is required, at least one week prior to camp week desired to avoid late registration fee.

Songs and rhyming dialogue from classic children’s musicals teach the fun of singing, dancing, and acting. The students perform at the Thursday 11:30 a.m. showcase for family and friends. Take any or all weeks. A different show is saluted each week.

Tuition: $120/week + enrollment fee
Limit: 25

Rehearse for a mini-musical from classic and contemporary Broadway and Hollywood shows. Showcase on Thursday 2:15 p.m. for family and friends. Students bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks from home for supervised breaks. Drop off and pick up hours strictly enforced, and all day tuition charged for early arrival or late pick-up. Ages strictly enforced. Take any or all weeks. A different musical is saluted each week. Sign up for multiple weeks at initial registration and pay only one enrollment fee.

Fast-track Performance Camps Teen performers rehearse a mini-salute to popular Broadway musicals through song, dance, and dialogue. A different musical is saluted each week. The week ends with a Thursday 4:15 p.m. showcase for family and friends.

Stage Acting Weeks Students rehearse age appropriate monologues and scenes from classic and contemporary theatre. Students warm-up with improvisations, diction and projection exercises, as well as participate in developmental theater games. This workshop is designed for teens with some theater arts or speech class experience. The week ends with a Thursday 4:15 p.m. showcase for family and friends.

Musical Theatre Dance Workshop Students study Broadway musical dance styles and steps, structured by experience level. Group warm up, and then divide into Beginner I & II, and Intermediate/Advanced to work on combinations ranging from the Charleston and classic tap to musical comedy standards, rock and funk.

Tuition: $165/ week +enrollment fee

SMI900 MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE

 During the musical theatre intensive, students will improve basic, intermediate and advanced skills in singing, dancing, and acting. Each Friday is divided into vocal, acting, and dance classes, covering different songs, acting specialties, and X-dance, structured by age and experience level. Students strengthen performing skills as they build repertoire for auditions, talent shows, academic school projects and more. Take either or both sessions, different material used in class curriculum. Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks from home for supervised breaks. Drop off and pick up hours are strictly enforced. There will be a $25.00 late pick or drop off fee for every hour or partial hour extra.

Tuition: $230/session +enrollment fee
Limit: 50/session

SHR900 BACK TO SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK DAYS

Each day is self-contained and will rehearse a song and dialogue excerpt from the popular Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr. Choreography and show props used from the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre 2007 summer performance.
