TUTS Inclusive Performance Troupe is made up of a diverse group of talented student performers from The River and Humphreys School of Musical Theatre. The Troupe fosters the next generation of engaged community members and leaders, theatre fans, and artists through creativity, song, and dance.

THE RIVER – Determined that no child should be denied the opportunity to participate in the richness of an arts education, The River was founded in 1996 by Bob & Cathy Binstock in honor of their daughter Samantha. Now 23 years later, The River programs have served more than 37,000 individuals with disabilities and their siblings. Whether they are dancing or tapping, singing or painting, The River’s year-round accessible classes allow all individuals to delight in the creativity of the performing and visual arts.

HUMPHREYS SCHOOL OF MUSICAL THEATRE – For 47 years, the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre has been committed to providing the Houston area with the very best in musical theatre technique-based training and performing arts education. Each year, the Humphreys School awards over $25,000 in scholarships, serves 400 students, and reaches 20,000 community members with an annual Year-in-Review and Miller Outdoor Theatre production.

TUTS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS – Community Engagement programming runs the spectrum of arts-based learning, challenging students and adults alike to discover their world through musical theatre. From in-school partnerships to community based productions like Public Works Houston, TUTS strives to create events and opportunities that reach beyond our walls to connect and grow with the people of Houston.
