Theatre Under the Stars

For those of you who will be attending the TUTS performance of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying this weekend, please take note of major construction which might affect your travel time:

• The Texas Department of Transportation will begin work this weekend to demolish and reconstruct the West Dallas Bridge over I-45 North Freeway in downtown Houston this weekend. The bridge was struck by an over-height vehicle in September requiring a complete reconstruction of the structure.

• Starting this weekend, a total closure of all northbound and southbound main lanes of I-45 between I-10 and US 59 will take place Friday, November 4 at 9 p.m. until Monday, November 7 at 5 a.m. Those traveling on I-45 northbound will be detoured to US 59 northbound to I-10 westbound to re-enter I-45 northbound. Those traveling southbound on I-45 will be detoured to I-10 eastbound to US 59 southbound to re-enter I-45 southbound.

• The work will continue over the following weekends: November 18 at 9 p.m. through November 21 at 5 a.m., December 2 at 9 p.m. through December 5 at 5 a.m., December 9 at 9 p.m. through December 12 at 5 a.m. I-45 southbound will be closed at I-10 and IH 45 northbound will be closed at US 59 during these times as work is taking place to reconstruct the West Dallas Bridge.
