SPEND A SPECTACULAR SUMMER WITH US!
Established in 1996, The River, located at the Metropolitan Multiservice Center at 1475 West Gray, provides an affordable, accessible fine arts education for individuals with disabilities and their siblings ages 4 through young adults. A licensed nurse is onsite throughout summer camp. The River engages students in music, dance, acting, and visual arts to experience the world of musical theatre on stage.
JUNE 20-24: A WHOLE NEW WORLD
Times: 9:30am-2:30pm
*Please note: The facility that houses The River summer camps will be closed on 6/19/23 in observance of Juneteenth; therefore, this week of camp will meet Tuesday-Saturday from 9:30am-2:30pm.
AGES 4 AND UP • TUITION: $210 (Tuition covers a camp t-shirt and other materials)
Agrabah, here we come! Join us as we explore the heart of an enchanted city, the cave of wonders, epic palaces, and all the world has to offer with the help of Aladdin and Jasmine. This week is all about finding our true selves and becoming whoever we want to be! This camp will run one weeklong, and include daily classes in singing, dancing, acting, and art, to prepare for an end of week highlight performance including sets, props, epic numbers, and more!
JUNE 26-30: UNDER THE SEA
Times: 9:30am-2:30pm
AGES 4 AND UP • TUITION: $210 (Tuition covers a camp t-shirt and other materials)
Let us make a splash as we dive into the big sea through song and dance through Broadway and Disney musical hits like The Little Mermaid, Moana, SpongeBob the Musical and more! This camp will run one weeklong, and include daily classes in singing, dancing, acting, and art, to prepare for an end of week highlight performance including sets, props, epic numbers, and more!
JULY 10-14: WE GOT THE BEAT

Calling all pop rock lovers! This week is for you. Join us as we groove to the songs of the Go Go’s and see how pop transforms in a musical theatre story. Known for its Broadway jukebox Head Over Heels, this week will be full of dance, energy, and power vocals. This camp will run one weeklong, and include daily classes in singing, dancing, acting, and art, to prepare for an end of week highlight performance including sets, props, epic numbers, and more!
JULY 17-21: DISNEY REMIX
Times: 9:30am-2:30pm
AGES 4 AND UP • TUITION: $210 (Tuition covers a camp t-shirt and other materials)
Join us for an epic adventure as we travel through the decades exploring the best Disney songs of all time from Tarzan, Frozen, Jungle Book, and more! Throughout the week, our campers will build confidence and learn foundational technique of singing, dancing, and acting while participating in a variety of classes each day. Each student will receive a script to practice throughout the week, culminating in a showcase performance at the end of the week featuring student solo’s, lines, duets, and full company numbers!
JULY 24-28: BEST OF BROADWAY
Times: 9:30am-2:30pm
AGES 4 AND UP • TUITION: $210 (Tuition covers a camp t-shirt and other materials)
Explore the best that Broadway has to offer in this week full of big dance numbers from classics like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, and Pippin! Throughout the week, our campers will build confidence and learn foundational techniques of singing, dancing, and acting while participating in a variety of classes each day. Each student will receive a script to practice throughout the week, culminating in a showcase performance at the end of the week featuring student solo’s, lines, duets, and full company numbers!

The River has a no refund policy. Every hour of each class is essential; on-time and full-session attendance is mandatory. If a student needs to be withdrawn, contact the TUTS Education office at 713.558.8801 for options. Upon registration, a confirmation email will be sent sharing important course details.
