RIVER SUMMER CAMPS
River summer camps are now on sale – see below for our exciting offerings!
All camps take place at the Metropolitan Multi-Services Center (1475 W Gray St / Houston, TX 77019). Register before April 18 to take advantage of our early registration prices.
The River provides an accessible, affordable fine arts education for individuals with disabilities and their siblings ages 4 through young adults.
This summer, The River is offering 6 one-week summer camp sessions. Tuition per student/session: $180.

JUNE 20-24: AUDITION BOOT CAMP
Learning about singing, dancing, and acting in preparation for that big break!
Monday – Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
JUNE 27 – JULY 1: SING, SING, SING
Taking the stage in the style of today’s televised talent search shows.
Monday – Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
JULY 11-15: WILD, WILD WEST
Exploring all things deep in the heart of Texas through the song and dance of it all.
Monday – Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
JULY 18-22: MOVIE MUSICALS
Paying homage to the classics and celebrating the new school of musical cinema.
Monday – Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
JULY 25-29: CELEBRATING DIVAS
Salute these iconic female artists so powerful they’re known by one name monikers – Aretha, Cher, Selena, & Tina.
Monday – Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
AUGUST 1-5: INCLUSIVE ARTS SHOWCASE*
Ending the season with our big end of year show alongside our HSMT counterparts.
Monday – Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
*Please Note: A prerequisite for participating the Inclusive Arts Showcase is previous enrollment in Spring classes as well as River Summer programming.

MORE INFORMATION
- PAYMENT: Tuition can be paid in full at the time of enrollment or through a monthly installment plan with payments charged on April 20, May 20, June 20 and July 20.
- SCHEDULE: One-week sessions are conducted Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 2:30 p.m.
- DISABILITY & DIAGNOSIS: please provide information about your student’s diagnosis, accommodations for success, etc. A licensed nurse is on duty. If medication needs to be administered a permission form must be completed.
- ELIGIBILITY: While there are no restrictions due to diagnosis or mobility, River staff deserves the right to withdraw a student from the program if they pose a safety risk to themselves or others, if the student is unwilling to stay in the classroom the majority of class time, and/or if the student frequently disrupts classroom activities. The River has a zero tolerance policy for violence.
- END OF SESSION PERFORMANCE: Each session culminates in an hour-long performance. We invite and encourage family and friends to attend, applaud, and enjoy performances on Fridays @ 12:30 p.m.
